1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the LifeVerify mobile application or related services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

LifeVerify provides a daily wellness and safety check-in platform. Users set a check-in time and designate emergency contacts. The app sends reminders; if the user confirms they are okay, the timer resets. If the user misses a check-in or taps "Need Help", designated contacts are notified via push and email. The Service is not a substitute for emergency services (e.g., 911/112); in an emergency, users should contact local emergency services directly.

3. Account and Eligibility

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your account secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

If the Service offers paid features or subscriptions, payment will be processed through the applicable app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). Refunds are subject to the store's policies. We may change pricing or discontinue plans with reasonable notice where required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws.
  • Impersonate others or provide false emergency or contact information.
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or misuse the app or our systems.
  • Interfere with the Service or other users' use of it.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or for other legitimate reasons.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that notifications will always be delivered on time. LifeVerify is a wellness check-in tool, not a medical or emergency response system. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LifeVerify and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in such cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service for breach of these Terms or for other reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases; we may retain data as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of LifeVerify is established. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
